Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas Tree.....

We have no snow. :(  But we have our tree up.

On Friday, the fam jumped in the van and we went down the road to pick out a tree. This is our second year for having a real tree. I must say I really enjoy them. This year we were able to go out and in the field and pick out our tree. The owner cut off 6 inches and trimmed it up for us. When we arrived home Darren carried it in to notice we may of picked out a big one. We couldn't even get it to stand up in the living room, so we had to cut another 6-8 inches off again. Now it just touches the ceiling. :) I must say it looks so pretty and smells wonderful. We ended up with a Concolor Fir, it smells like oranges. This may be my favorite one yet.

All bundled up.

Happy Birthday Emilie!

Emilie turned 7!
Emilie is my tender-hearted girl. She truly loves and cares for everyone. Even at times she can be bull headed to the max, she come by it honestly. I cant image our time on earth without her. I love my Emmie!

Her bday gift, I had the garage door up and it
was sitting here when she got off the bus!

The birthday girl!

Halloween 2011

The girls and I made suckers for all the girls classes for a treat. We love making them and it is fun to be in the kitchen with my girls.

The girls all had their parties on the same day so I went to the Twins class for their Halloween party and I will take turns with the other girls for the other parties.

Y-5 party!

After they got home from school we went out trick or treating. We first went to Darren's parents house for pics and candy. Then we went to Hopkins to walk the streets. It was very different this year, with Grandpa Coffey home in Heaven we didn't get to go see him at his house. We usually make our rounds and then end up at Grandpas house for candy, pictures and visiting. I thought of him all night, truly missed.

Our last trip on the lake

Our family has had the best time out on the water this year. We got rid of our fishing boat and bought a bigger boat so the whole family could go out on the lake at one time and enjoy more family time. A couple Sundays ago we had a few nice warm days so we headed out on the lake for a picnic and fishing.

Beautiful fall colors.

Darren and I were laughing.

Twins go on a field trip...

Annie and Allie went on a little field trip to the Wise Preserve. They had a great time. We took a nature walk. They made bird feeders at school before they left to lay along the trail, pine cones with pb and birdseed. Then they collected leaves to make leaf rubbing and then used magnify glasses and looked for bugs.

Princess fun

On Saturday we had Aunt Julie take the twins to town for a little bit so Mom, Olivia, Emilie and I could decorate the house a little for the girls 5th Birthday. We were going to have a Princess party for them, like their big sisters had when they turned 5, but it didn't work out as planned. Since they were looking forward to it we did a few things. We played a couple games, girls dressed up and they played with their cousin Alena. After supper we had Grandma and Grandpa Coffey over for cake.
